The funny thing is, I originally traded up to the 1.01 to get Johnson because I was certain that New York would take Calvin at 1.02 (as you apparently were, too), and I didn't really want Lynch.

But, with Chester missing time in the preseason, it gave AP some time to strut his stuff, and it looks like his development will be more immediate than I had originally thought, so I just couldn't pass up on his RB potential.

My thoughts looking at the rosters was that you needed a WR more than a RB. I was sure you wanted Calvin, I knew NY would be taking a RB, most likely Peterson, leaving my target of Lynch to me. I figured worst case senerio, I would end up with Calvin, which wasn't that bad, considering the trade turned my 6th round pick into a 2nd round pick, which is really what I wanted.

I was going to be happy with any of the top 3 rookies, so the trade down was fine. With my three 2nd round picks I landed 3 of my targets for this draft in D.Jarrett, T. Hunt and L. Landry. I also got my DL target of Gaines Adams in the 3rd. If I can get my 3.10 target, I'll be very happy.

I'll take my chances on the Detroit passing game, I mean, Kitna is going to throw 50 TD's this year, that means I'm golden with 20 to Roy, and 20 to Calvin. <img src="/images/emoticons/ID_EGO.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":ID_EGO:" border="0" alt="ID_EGO.gif" />

So far I have been making my picks rather quickly, but maybe I am out of step with the other teams. I will promise to do better and use my full 18 hour allotment since that seems to be the standard for this league.

Guess I was wrong to think we could knock this out in a few days. Oh well. <img src="/images/emoticons/dunce.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":dunce:" border="0" alt="dunce.gif" />

At the pace we were going, I was thinking that we'd be finished by late tonight. This draft was flying.

It was until a few people brought this to a complete halt. That's fine. They want a "slow draft" they're gonna get one. <img src="/images/emoticons/icon_mad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":icon_mad:" border="0" alt="icon_mad.gif" />

Yep, I really did at the time. In hindsight, I almost wish I wouldn't have pulled the trigger. Don't get me wrong, having AP and Gore as my two young RBs will give me a nice foundation for years to come. But I could have sat back and let Calvin fall into my lap, and then could have used my 2.03 to get the "steal of the draft", D.J. Williams.

I had Williams ranked at #5 overall, and I would have taken him ahead of Willis, Puz, etc. How he made it all the way to 2.08 is beyond me. I'm sure most of you that had early 2nd round picks received my frantic trade offers, but unfortunately, nobody was in the selling mood.

We still are on a three-day pace. Let's try and keep it that way.

Trainer-I PMed you, but for all-there is one waiver on the day of the Thursday Kickoff game. At kickoff of that game, you must have a VSL.

Guys there are two guys I would like to target and if anyone is interested in 4.06 and 4.08 for the late 3rd and a 6th, I will be interested. But if I make a selection then 7 slots will go off the board.

I'm on YIM, AOL, or PM me.

Sorry guys trying to rebuild a team in my first year. i will probably make the pick in 2 hours if not. That's if i don't get bussy at work.

I understand it can be frustrating waiting, but everyone does have a right to use their time to discuss trades, or deal with real life issues. I am always one of the fastest drafters in every league I'm in, and make a concerted effort to be that way, but every once in awhile, things happen.

But, intentionally "drafting slow" out of mere spite really doesn't do anyone any good.

(And I'm not just saying that because I have 2 out of the next 4 picks after yours) <img src="/images/emoticons/cool.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="B)" border="0" alt="cool.gif" />

What gets me sideways is I will check the site at least once in the morning and once at night, and yet, I see people who have not been to the site for more than a day and I just don't get it. I mean, it's not like they didn't know there was gonna be a draft.

It's like the new commercial on the NFL Network, "I have no excuse!" and neither do these people who have had all these months to make trades and figure out what they want. I was originally going to leave for work this morning and pick tonight just to prove a point (since we are all busy I could use the same lame excuse) but I will "play nice" and pick this morning since it seems some people have decided to try and make this move again.

I was hoping we would have this knocked out before the weekend since I will not be near a computer as much. So I leave this to the league. Let's get this done before the weekend, otherwise, I may be a bit slower to pick over the weekend. If Yergs hadn't asked me to pick up the slack, I would have gladly made everyone wait until tomorrow like we were all made to wait yesterday. <img src="/images/emoticons/icon_hammer.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":icon_hammer:" border="0" alt="icon_hammer.gif" />
