I know our draft historically goes really fast and is only 6 rounds, but I was wondering if we had a start date picked out yet? I won't be out of town any time in August, so this is a non-issue to me, but I know some people might be on vacation.

Also, When do we need to cut down our rosters? I thought last year it was 2 weeks prior to the draft, assuming a mid August Draft start, rosters should be cut down pretty soon.

I'm looking at the 20th as the cut date and 9 AM on the 26th as the draft start date/time. We normally take about 5 days to draft, so this would wrap us before the holiday weekend, but also allow maximum time for training camps to give us a feel for the rookies.

I don't suppose there's any hope we can do this a week earlier? 13th as cut down day, 19th as start of draft for example? I leave for Vegas on the 28th I believe and will be gone most of the week.

We can move it. Let's use Tuesday the 21st at noon as the cut date and kick it off at 6PM on the 21st. That way we get all of the games for the weekend complete (preseason week 2). This would give us 7 days before you have to roll, which should be enough time. I know that shortens the time to adjust for interesting cuts, but the first group of players off the board are sure to be unaffected by the vets who hit the market.

Just double-checked, but I actually leave on the 29th. This timing would work great if it fits everyone else's schedule. Thanks.
