2010 FFPIL should be a hoot. There are many, many vets coming off contracts. The rosters of all teams will have a distinct new look. RFA's of 2009 will be set free because of contract values. Take a scan of the rosters and count how many vets are in their final year. The drafts and auctions should be the most fun ever.
No need to change the format a bit. The founders have formed a great league. We need to recruit more participation, but the core is solid.

Besides, I am really looking forward to next year. All of the veterans signed to 3-year contracts in our inaugural season become free agents, restricted or unrestricted.

Finally, I really like the way the league is built as a keeper/contract league. I haven't found another like it and hope it continues.
:twocents:
:thanks:

I just can support my acting GM, running our team into the playoffs was a lot of fun (and work) and I hope our streak will continue for some weeks and the league for another year.

I've been looking forward to 2010 ever since messing up the initial auction 3 years ago, lol.

By unmanned he means that there are 2 teams supposedly being run by people that have left the site and will not be returning as owners next year. During the offseason will we probably need to look at the staffing stuff. The league will still be here dont worry.

Just something to think about, especially since Two 6-7 teams made the playoffs this year (although not much could be done about Div winners).

8 out of 16 teams making the playoffs is a bit much. If this is a Premier League, then having a hockey type playoffs where everyone makes the playoffs and the concept that everyone gets a trophy for participating isn't the best. IMO

Premier means tops and maybe we should only let the 4 div winners make the playoffs to truly make it tough and the season worthwhile.

Just something to think about. :hmmm:

I have to agree this should be strongly considered.

Considering there are 4 divisions, are we going to treat the American South as the WAC and leave them out of the FFPIL BCS? :bash: Perhaps the 4 division winners then the next two highest points with the top two records getting byes?

Not that I mind sneaking in as the 8th seed with the 3rd highest points :smile_hiding: but 6 would make more sense for a "premier" league. The NFL has 12 teams out of 32 make it, the same ratio gets us 6 out of 16. Works for me...

Fixed
:snicker:

I guess you shouldn't blow all of your load in 1-2 games and you should learn to spread it out a bit and have better endurance. :smile_jester:

BTW, we ave 163.5 pts for; less than 4 pts per game (2.5%) from your Division winner....and we had the 5th highest Points Against.

Done with the friendly Playoff Trash Talk and back to the suggestions.

The one positive of 4 teams over 6 is that it allows 1 extra week of games for the entire league...but I can easily live with 6. EIther way, 50% is way too much IMO.
