Then quit looking at your own posts..:neenerneener:

don't worry Murft, the Eagles always seem to come back....seems I remember the Renegades choking or running away at the end of last year while the Eagles ripped that playoff spot from your greasy hands...:yay2:

Better late than never. :DeadHorse:

(MyFantasyLeague.com Fantasy Times Sources - Sep 15, 2009) In a week 1 FantasyFootball.com Premier Invitational League (FFPIL) intra-divisional showdown, Louisiana Swamp Dragons beat a strong Capitol City Convicts team by a score of 181.10 to 150.30, behind the support of 74,288 faithful fans.

Louisiana Swamp Dragons were led to their 30.80 point victory by a 40.90 point effort from Drew Brees, who tore apart the Detroit Lions defense for 358 passing yards and 6 passing tds. With this performance, Brees was the number 1 ranked overall fantasy scorer for week 1. They also got help from a 22.70 point effort from Thomas Jones, who beat the Houston Texans defense for 107 rushing yards and 2 rushing tds.

"We managed to eke out a win," Louisiana Swamp Dragons coach Larry "Guido" Merrell said. "Eke"? Larry don't use them words.

Capitol City Convicts were helped out in a losing cause by a 35.00 point effort from Stephen Cooper, who beat the Oakland Raiders offense for 13 tackles. With this performance, Cooper was the number 3 ranked overall fantasy scorer for week 1. They also got help from a 17.00 point effort from Trent Cole, who beat the Carolina Panthers offense for 4 tackles and 1.0 sacked a qb.

"It's going to be a long plane ride home," Capitol City Convicts coach Tom Digliani said. Especially if you fly Jet Blue.

Causing further embarrassment, Capitol City Convicts could have scored 183.10 points and earned the win with their best lineup, but Tom Digliani left key players like Jamal Lewis and his corresponding 13.40 points on the bench.

This brings the record for Louisiana Swamp Dragons to 1-0, and drops Capitol City Convicts to a record of 0-1.

Coming up in week 2, Capitol City Convicts are at the 1-0 Grim Reapers, where Grim Reapers are an early 24-point favorite, while Louisiana Swamp Dragons are at the 0-1 Oklahoma Red Swarm, where Oklahoma Red Swarm are an early 35.8-point underdog.

As easy as it would be to post the site's glowing praise of yet another Swamp Dragon victory, I felt we should make a simple mention of the fact that the Dead Squirm put up a valiant effort but were clearly outclassed. Everyone must commend this squad for stepping up and attemping to stay on the same playing field as a premier franchise.

Great job for playing within a total of 25 points. If you could have just had another Peyton Manning you would have come so much closer ... but still lost.

:snicker:

I'm learning the voodoo Guido, so that you guys will get stuck with a Wes Welker-esque game-day inactive. :voodoo:
