Impossible to pick 10. It's like trying to pick your Top 10 Jessica Alba photos.

I watched a video the other night where rush as a whole were talking about the making of 2112 it was awesome it brought back a lot of memory's for me i saw them countless times in the 80s but the hemispheres tour was the best i was clinging on to the stage under Geddys pedal boards when they came out for their encore i yelled WORKING MAN! Geddy bends down and points to my face this guy wants to hear working man!

I was 16 years old boy i miss those days.

One of my favorites off this album is missing from your list "tears" also 'time stands still" was another of my favorite rush tunes.

Great story King. I was actually about 5 feet away from Geddy Lee for about 10 seconds or so at the Holmdel, NJ show just last Saturday. I was sitting in the 16th row in an aisle seat but when they started doing 2112 Geddy came all the way out to the end of the stage and I walked down the aisle right up to the stage. He was looking right at me and jamming on his big red bass and I started jumping up and down in rhythm with the music. It was very cool.

If they were going to play that one live they'd have wear polka dot shirts and play at the Copacabana wouldn't they????:snicker:

Seriously though, my favorite by far from 2112 is "Lessons", which inexplicably gets little or no fanfare whatsoever. Love that song.

First off, for your free album listening pleasure (fix): http://www.myspace.com/officialrush/music/albums/r30-8120660

And now, for my Top 10 (x 4.5):

Finding My Way
Working Man
Anthem
Beneath, Between & Behind
By-Tor and the Snow Dog
Making Memories
Lakeside Park
2112 (Yea, the whole album. Need I say more? Although Tears is my overall favorite and Lessons is a great song as well)
A Farewell to Kings (another excellent album, except Madrigal – not my favorite)
Hemispheres (and another album that just kicks ass like 2112, especially Circumstances and La Villa)
Permanent Waves (and another - told you this was impossible! Ultimate kicks ass! But Entre Nous, Different Strings and Natural Science are favs)
YYZ (Live on Exit…Stage Left)
The Camera Eye
Witch Hunt
Subdivisions
The Analog Kid
Countdown
Chemistry
Afterimage
Red Sector A
Between The Wheels
Manhattan Project
Show Don’t Tell
The Pass
Presto
Dreamline
Bravado
Roll The Bones
Where’s My Thing
Big Wheel
Heresy
Ghost Of A Chance
Animate
Stick It Out (I actually didn’t like it during Time Machine – didn’t quite fit in the playlist)
Cut To The Chase (just rocks out)
Nobody’s Hero
Leave That Thing Alone
Driven
Half The World
Workin’ Them Angels
Far Cry
The Main Monkey Business
Malignant Narcissism
R30 Overture
Der Trommler

My iPod got a work out making that list.

Well, they were simply stupendous once again last night. All I can say is WOW!!! I'd LOVE to go see 'em again, but I'd have to get on airplane to do it so that probably won't happen. I'm not entirely ruling it out, I'm just saying probably not.:cool2:

I will serve and volley. Check out this fan made video.

I'll work on my list later...only ten songs?

I have a story similar to KD's but it wasn't Rush...I've never seen them live...it was the Scorpions. 1982, Nuremberg, Germany Blackout tour. Last show before they left Germany (in case you don't know they are Germans) for a long tour abroad. Klaus asked what song we wanted to hear. Everyone started screaming and he just stood there, it started dying down and then for about two seconds it was quiet. I screamed at the top of my lungs "We'll burn the sky"!!! He said that is a good idea, they had a short pow wow on stage and then played it!I saw them 10 years later and they had gone glam. It was a decent show but not nearly as good as Blackout.
