Default Complaint
I have kept my mouth shut, about some of the changes this year that have bothered me, but after just visiting the site and having a talking commercial hit my ears and 1 that was hidden way down the page, that is too much for me.

The constant clicking, and numerous pop ups I have had while clicking on links was bad enough, but this crosses the line for me.

I realize you need to make $$, but to be honest, I believe the site was better last year!

Well if a "talking commercial" that is hidden waaaay down at the bottom of the page is too much for you then I am guessing that the internet may be a reach for ya and I am probably lucky that you ain't in my corner when the bell rings because the towel would be thrown in long before you even saw your opponent.

Suck it up dude....no line has been crossed here and if you don't like it then so be it but don't blame it on the ads because every site on the internet does it.

Here's a clue....If you don't want to hear an ad that you can't see....turn the volume down on your computer and you will never know it was there!

I knew i would hear from someone like you, while I really just wanted the STAFF to know my point of view!

I had something else i was listening too which coupled with the stupid audio ad was unwanted and unncessary. Try listening to 2 ft inbounds and have that audio ad pop up and interfere while you're checking the site, only an idiot would think that was OK!

You are entitled to like it or not, I am entitled to not like it!

LOL, no he wasn't or I'm guessing he wouldn't have said it was "better". Last year was, indeed, a trainwreck but we worked through it.

I understand your frustration scalper as I'm sure no one likes pop up ads or audio ads, but you're also right when you say we gotta pay bills. We didn't sell nearly as many live advice subscriptions as we thought we would and we haven't landed that big sponsor like last year with Red Hook. If we did, we wouldn't have to use Google Ad Words to supplement our ad income. I was forced to lay off my National Sales manager so that job has fallen on me, on top of everything else I do.

Like others have said... this is basically a free site and we do everything that most other sites do in terms of the occasional pop under ad or rich media or some audio stuff. We aren't unusual.

Also, I don't know about you, but I hate Internet Explorer. It sucks. I finally had to move to another browser. I downloaded Google Chrome and I absolutely love it. Plus, it has a built in pop up blocker and I never once see a pop under. At the bottom right it tells me that a pop up has been blocked, but I never see it. That alone makes Google Chrome worth it. Just my two cents.
